The 2010 YSU
English Festival Wiki
A Partnership between
AND
Hello, and welcome to the English Festival wiki, an ongoing collaboration between TeenXTreme at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (you know, where a lot of you get your books) and the YSU English Festival. Our goal is to help YOU stay on top of the books you have to read so that when English Festival time rolls around you'll be ready to go! We've put together this wiki to help accomplish that goal. Specifically, we're hoping that this wiki will help foster discussion among all of you regarding what you think about the books you're reading.
HOW TO JOIN: If you look at the sidebar on the right, you'll see a box that says "To join this wiki". Just click on the "request access" link, follow the directions, and we'll set you up. If you don't have your own email address, click on the teenxtreme@libraryvisit.org link on the top of the page and let us know; include contact info (phone number, etc.) and we'll let you know how to access the wiki.
All that we ask is that when you are done reading a book you use this resource to find out a little more about that book and it's author; then- and this is important- please leave a comment at the bottom of the page for whatever book you've read. It can be anything you want- long or short, rambling or to the point, heartfelt or glib, whatever (of course, we ask that you keep it clean...). You can even let us know what is good or bad about the wiki or suggest links that we can add. Please be aware that posting comments containing offensive references or foul language will result in removal of the offending post as well as termination of your access to this wiki. Also, please try not to include any "spoilers" in your posts. The point is to share your impressions so that others can, maybe, see things in a different way or benefit from your experience or insights. That, after all, is the main purpose of a wiki- to build a tool with contributions from everyone and that can be used by everyone.
So, go ahead! Give it a shot!
